The iMapMySports online questionnaire is a proprietary survey designed to capture opinions about yourself and others. On average, it takes just 15 minutes to complete.
We then use sophisticated algorithms to translate the answers into a picture of the athlete and their Passions, their Strengths, their Expectations and their stress related Reactions. This data provides the 'motivational DNA' of each athlete with critical insights to motivate, eliminate distractions, and maximize performance.
The iMap Elite Athlete Guide describes what motivates you to perform, your strengths for success, the support you need, and how to achieve into and stay “in the zone” during competition. These insights will give you the ability to control and adapt your behaviors in the pursuit of excellence. Additionally, we work with you to provide customized guides as needed.
The ideas behind the four quadrants of the iMap reports are based on the model of behavior that dates back to Hippocrates, "the father of medicine." Hippocrates developed the concept that people’s behaviors could be categorized into one of four types and that how an individual would react in a given set of circumstances could be Predicted. Many assessment tools are available but only iMap measures and describes four different dimensions, or facets of behavior.

Katherine Aiken has been a leader in the field of technology for collegiate sports for more than 25 years. She has been a front-runner in developing, implementing and evaluating new and existing technology and applying them to competitive sports. As a result, coaches and athletes are able to maximize their playing potential, reduce injuries, and build winning programs.
From a very young age, sports held a significant role in her life. In high school, Kathy competed in basketball, field hockey, volleyball and softball. Recently she, along with fellow members of their high school volleyball program, were inducted as a “Team of Distinction” into the Greater Buffalo Hall of Fame. They were given this honor because they hold the record for the nation’s longest winning streak in girls’ sports. Additionally, they have also been recognized as the top Volleyball program in the first one hundred years of the sport.
In college, Kathy competed in two sports: volleyball and softball. After college she continued playing both sports on a national level. Not one to sit on a bench, Kathy made use of her own coaching techniques to develop into an elite athlete in golf and tennis. Kathy, with a single-digit handicap, is the defending Women’s Club Champion at her home golf club in Lancaster, NY.
Although her coaching experience began with Middle School volleyball and High School softball programs, the most rewarding part of Kathy’s professional career has been with collegiate coaches and athletes. In her work she helps them look differently at what they have been doing to find where improvements can be made that will take their performance to the next level.
Kathy is currently the Director of iMapMySports, a division of iMap Strategic Solutions, which specializes in helping athletes and coaches better understand how to work together to get winning results. Her experiences as an athlete and coach are helping iMap provide solutions that will transform the way sports are played and coached.
Kathy’s academic accomplishments include completing two Bachelor’s degrees and five Masters degrees, all while raising her family and establishing herself professionally. Kathy’s skills have helped her own children grow to be elite athletes. Her oldest, a multi-sport high school competitor earned NCAA D1scholarships in softball and golf and was recently named captain of her golf team. Kathy’s youngest, also a multi-sport athlete, is starting his own collegiate football career this fall. Kathy and her family live in up-state New York outside of Buffalo.
